Strides for Hope
Strides for Hope

Consistent with Spectrum’s philosophy of “walking the walk,” in September 2005, five Spectrum employees together joined the Strides for Hope Marathon Training Team. Collectively, Spectrum runners raised over $16,000 to help people living with cancer find emotional support, education and hope at The Wellness Community, an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing free support and education to people with cancer and their loved ones.

All five Spectrum employees proved victorious in completing the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n Roll Marathon or Half Marathon (26.2/13.1 miles) on January 15, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona.  It required a great deal of time and both physical and mental preparation, but the support we received from our co-workers, friends, family and even Spectrum vendors, motivated us throughout the process and consistently reminded us of how many are touched by cancer.
