John J. Seng

A public relations professional since 1979 and founder of Spectrum, John leads Spectrum's staff of approximately 50 professionals who work on as many as 150 programs for more than 30 national and international clients.

Based in Washington, D.C., Spectrum ranks among the top three health care-only independent public relations firms in the United States, and is now the number one health care PR office in the Nation's Capital.

Before Spectrum, John supervised marketing, corporate communications, media relations, and product promotion activities for health care clients of major PR agencies. He also managed national consumer media programs and developed direct-to-consumer public relations programs while at Pfizer Inc. in New York.

John received a B.S. degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. He serves on the board of directors of the Progeria Research Foundation, the Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation, and chairs the Washington, D.C. Area Leadership Council of the American Diabetes Association.
