Luke Dickinson Rejoins Spectrum
Seasoned PR Strategist with Strength in Health and Science Communications
Washington, (October 12, 2011)—Adept crisis-management and brand communications specialist Luke A. Dickinson has rejoined Spectrum, one of the nation’s leading independent health and science communications firms, as Account Director. A former Spectrum intern, Dickinson brings with him several years of valuable experience in the areas of corporate branding, product launches, crisis management and public affairs.
“Luke is known for his professional and effective approaches to handling crises, as well as his track record of changing brand perception,” said Spectrum founder and CEO, John J. Seng. “It’s great to see him come full circle, starting as an ambitious intern and returning as a seasoned professional and member of our management team.”
Dickinson’s expertise spans a wide range of industries, including renewable and non-renewable energy, pharmacy and medical devices. He brings significant experience in the areas of FDA-product approval, consumer-confidence boosting and brand building for energy and pharmaceutical corporations.
Prior to Spectrum, Dickinson worked on the Corporate and Public Affairs team at Levick Strategic Communications where he managed the agency-of-record account for CITGO Petroleum Corporation, one of the nation’s leading oil refiners and supplier to more than 6,000 retail gas stations. Under his direction, grassroots branding initiatives and integrated traditional and digital media non-profit campaigns reversed negative brand opinion, while crisis management and corporate communications programs bulletproofed the organization from attack.
Prior to Levick, Dickinson was a member of the crisis management team at Manning Selvage & Lee, overseeing the FDA approval and product launch of Allergan’s Natrelle™ Silicone gel-filled breast implants.
“The healthcare world is constantly changing, bringing with it a variety of threats and opportunities for organizations,” said Dickinson. “I’m excited to bring my experiences in crisis management, public affairs and brand promotion to support our current client base, while helping to extend Spectrum as a leader in health and science communications.”
In addition to Dickinson rejoining the firm, Spectrum is actively hiring for its digital and account teams. For more information about open positions, visit Spectrum’s jobs page.
