Mary Ann Chaffee offers more than 20 years experience in public policy, spanning both houses of Congress and the executive branch. She oversees Spectrum’s public affairs and health policy division, where she helps to create initiatives to influence local, state, and federal healthcare policy.

Mary Ann has served in the Senate as a legislative director and a legislative aide. During her time on the Hill she worked on legislation pertaining to preventive medicine, Medicaid, Medicare, childhood immunization and global health crises. She helped lead an initiative to eradicate global polio, which resulted in the implementation of a CDC and World Health Organization program that has eliminated polio in all but four countries.

Mary Ann has worked around the globe, including two years in Kampala, Uganda as a legislative director for the Uganda Parliamentary Assistance Project. She received her Masters in Public Administration degree from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
