Launching BiDil: A Highly Effective, But Controversial Drug

Launching BiDil: A Highly Effective, But Controversial Drug

Building Awareness of Alzheimer's and Recruiting a Clinical Trial for Myriad

Alzheimer's disease (AD) ravages more than 25 million people around the world.  It's a slow and brutal killer - erasing personal memories and altering personalities and behaviors - leaving people little of the identity they've built over a lifetime.

Explaining the Science of Products to Consumers

Explaining the Science of Products to Consumers

When it comes to consumer products, innovation is the key. And communicating about the science behind the product helps target audiences understand that there's more than marketing behind the innovation. But how do you explain that science to a consumer-level audience? Sometimes a video is the right starting point. Spectrum created an animated video to communicate the innovative chemistry and engineering behind Procter & Gamble's new Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal. See the results for yourself.

Demystifying a Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Demystifying a Breast Cancer Diagnosis

We developed an online, interactive tool called My Breast Cancer Coach to help women hone in on information relevant to their type of breast cancer.  "Coach" uses a nurse-guided questionnaire to collect information about the woman's tumor type to develop a semi-customized report that provides detailed disease and treatment information specific to her type of breast cancer.

Making Microbes Cool for Kids

Making Microbes Cool for Kids

Spectrum combined two Web sites into one new one — microbeworld.org — that would appeal to 5-12 grade students and educators for The American Society of Microbiology (ASM).  The goal of the site was to make microbiology appealing to students who may not normally be interested, and to create a popular educational resource for students and teachers.

Raising Awareness of Cancer Clinical Trials: The Tour of Hope

Raising Awareness of Cancer Clinical Trials: The Tour of Hope

What happens when you build a team of headstrong cancer survivors, some of the nation's top cancer researchers and perhaps one of the most famous cancer survivors of all time - and put them on bicycles and send them across the country?  You get a great story full of inspiration and hope.  That's what we created for Bristol-Myers Squibb with the Tour of Hope™.

Starting a Conversation about Women’s Health

Starting a Conversation about Women’s Health

On behalf of a women's health client, Spectrum constructed and successfully implemented a research program that's ultimate goal was to underscore the importance of compliance, convenience and satisfaction of a once-monthly dosing option.

The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies (IoM)

The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies (IoM) is the nation's preeminent adviser to business leaders and policymakers on health and science policy issues.
