Senior Account Executive - Biopharma

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive with a strong understanding of the complex science behind our clients’ products and issues, who has the ability to concisely communicate that powerful story to a wide range of audiences in mind, including health care professionals, consumers, media, KOLs and the general public. This candidate will have experience working within the biopharma space, and support the account team leads to ensure client goals are met by executing a variety of activities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, including materials development, social media campaign implementation, oversight of media monitoring and regulatory/medical meeting preparation and execution.

The Senior Account Executive will be a key player of the account team and will work independently to manage parts of the overall program/project for the client. The Senior Account Executive will oversee client background research, review reports on client outcomes and have the ability to assist in client meetings. Relationship building with stakeholders and reporters will be key as the Senior Account Executive will assist in shaping the client’s news story through media pitches and key media as needed. The Senior Account Executive will assist with the development of current client and new business program yearly plans, meeting/milestone plans and budgets.

Key areas of responsibility for the Senior Account Executive will be engaging with client contact regarding program oversight and project implementation, overseeing media and internet monitoring on behalf of the client and agency and reviewing media outreach and event reports. The Senior Account Executive will also be responsible for overseeing daily media monitoring; drafting media materials; overseeing social media campaigns, including drafting content and advising on visuals; experience with regulatory milestones, including preparing for and participating in US and global product approvals and supporting the preparation for and execution of medical meetings, media tours, trade shows, conferences and other events.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the professional public relations arena and have the ability to effectively work on multiple accounts concurrently. The ideal candidate will have superior written and oral communication skills. Spectrum is a fast-paced work environment and the successful candidate will be able to meet the tight deadlines and prioritize competing demands when necessary.
