Senior Vice President

Job Description 

Leading health and science focused firm is seeking an experienced and skilled leader who enjoys the fast pace and innovative, engaging science of the biotech industry. The SVP we are seeking will be a key knowledge holder and leader of client(s)’ business and industry, allowing for effective management and growth of existing business, while identifying new business opportunities to expand the overall practice. The SVP will work across several teams to independently manage a book of business, build strong client relationships and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate will maintain the agency’s high standards of staff performance and service to clients to ensure client satisfaction. We are seeking candidates who are strong writers, strategic and creative thinkers, and those looking to invest in the leadership of the agency as a whole. 

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualified candidates are expected to have strong writing, strategic thinking and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and programs as an agency practitioner. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate success in new business development, including new client prospecting, pitching and winning new business. The candidate will be expected to have a strong understanding of traditional PR tools and activities as well as digital, social paid channels and how they contribute to an integrated communications plan. The ideal candidate will have agency experience in health and/or biotech a plus. All applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and should have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in public relations.
