In the realm of diversity and talent Spectrum Science thrived this past year, led by president Michelle Gross.
Under Gross’ leadership, the health communications firm responded to the pandemic and its repercussions on talent and diversity by launching its first DE&I plan equipped with action initiatives across talent and recruitment, client work, agency culture, marketing and new business. Despite the industrywide talent crunches and loss of job opportunities due to the pandemic, Gross pushed forward with Spectrum’s fellowship program, giving students and recent graduates opportunities to work in PR and creative roles.
The agency also hired more than 70 people over the last year.
Gross is responsible for building Spectrum’s New York City and biopharma teams in her previous role as managing director. A graduate from Lehigh University with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience, Gross has worked with pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, Amgen and Novartis. She has experience across oncology, cardiovascular health, neuroscience, immunology and diabetes.
