Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Spectrum Science and its group companies use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on our site to enhance the user experience, analyze site traffic, and support our marketing and advertising efforts. These technologies may collect information about your device, browser type, operating system, IP address, browsing behavior, and interactions with our website content.
Some of these technologies are essential for the functioning of our website, while others help us understand how visitors engage with our content and allow us to deliver more relevant advertisements based on website user interests, including through the use of targeted advertising platforms such as Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and LinkedIn.
Certain cookies and pixels may be set by us, while others may be placed by third-party partners acting on our behalf. These third parties may use the information collected to compile information about website user interests in our services and show you relevant content on other websites or platforms.
For detailed information on the types of cookies we use, their purposes, and how you can manage your cookie preferences—including opting out of marketing cookies and targeted advertising—please refer to our Cookie Policy.
Depending on your location, you may be presented with a cookie banner that allows you to accept, reject, or customize the use of non-essential cookies in compliance with applicable laws. International Website Users: Lawful Basis for Data Collection
In accordance with data protection laws applicable in certain jurisdictions outside the United States, Spectrum Science and its group companies ensure that a valid legal basis exists for the collection of personal data through our websites and other channels. Depending on the context and applicable legal requirements, we may rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Consent to collect and process personal data for specified purposes
- Performance of a contract, including commercial, employment, or service-related obligations
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Protection of vital interests, such as in connection with clinical trial support services

These legal bases are applied where required by applicable laws and may not be relevant in all jurisdictions in which Spectrum Science and its group companies operate.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
As a global organization, Spectrum Science and its group companies may transfer personal data that we collect through this website or otherwise to countries outside of your country of residence, including to jurisdictions that may not offer the same level of data protection as those required under the laws of your home country.
Where personal data is transferred internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection laws and requirements to ensure an adequate level of protection. For transfers from the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with similar cross-border data transfer requirements, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), as well as country-approved annexes (or SCC versions), along with transfer impact assessments where applicable.
Data Security
We are committed to protecting the personal data entrusted to us through our websites and other channels, and have implemented appropriate technical, physical, and organizational safeguards to help secure it against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards are aligned with applicable legal requirements and industry standards and are designed to reflect the sensitivity of the data we collect and process. Our security measures are also updated to address new risks and threats as they become known.
Our security measures include but are not limited to, access controls, encryption, multi-factor authentication, network and system monitoring, secure storage environments, back-ups, incident response, and regular risk assessments. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to perform their duties and who are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Based on the significant and evolving risks and threats to personal data, we encourage users to take appropriate steps to help protect their personal information, such as using strong passwords and safeguarding access.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and processed, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements. Data that is no longer necessary for retention is irreversibly and securely destroyed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
In some circumstances we may anonymize your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case it is no longer personal data.
Our Business Development group retains and manages prospective client information in a secure and privacy-focused customer relationship management (CRM) platform in compliance with legal, GDPR and other regulatory standards. All customer data is siloed in separate databases to eliminate cross-company leaks, and administrators can centrally control security rules, including two-factor authentication, user visibility settings, and security alerts.
